The 3M Trizact 237AA abrasive material is designed for high-precision finishing and polishing. In this system, aluminum oxide abrasive particles are arranged into tiny pyramidal structures, which wear down gradually, continually exposing fresh cutting edges. This self-sharpening process ensures a consistent, fine finish and extends the abrasive’s life up to five times longer than conventional abrasives.

The 237AA is backed with a durable polyester cloth, making it resilient against tearing and ideal for low- to medium-pressure applications. This abrasive is particularly effective for polishing metals such as stainless steel, carbon steel, titanium, and nickel alloys, delivering smooth finishes with minimal heat buildup—thanks to a built-in grinding aid that reduces friction. Common applications include robotic finishing, blending, and deburring, where uniformity and longevity are key.
